Matt was raised in Dayton, OH. He spent his high school and college years working at a local grocery store where he cultivated his love for customer service. His favorite part about that job was doing whatever it took to make sure the customers were always 100% satisfied and the friendships that he formed with regular shoppers.
Upon graduation from Wright State University, he took a job in Fort Myers, Florida where he leased high end RV and Boat storage condominiums. His roles included property management as well as finding the appropriate storage spaces for unique toys. After a couple years of leasing, he decided to move on to find a true career.
Upon recommendation from a mentor, Matt decided to explore the opportunities in personal and commercial insurance and started working with State Farm in 2010. After meeting his wife and relocating to North Carolina to be closer to family, he decided to go into business for himself. He created The Juengel Agency in 2014 and knew that the Independent Insurance Agency route was the best option for his clients. His founding principle was to always keep the client’s best interest first, even if it is not in the agency’s best interest. He felt like that was something really missing in today’s marketplace.
Matt enjoys spending his free time with his wife and two dogs, Winston and Bailey. He loves to go golfing whenever possible and enjoys playing softball with friends. He is also a former racing driver and enjoys following Formula 1 and other Sports Car racing around the world. His favorite sports teams are the Cincinnati Bengals, Cincinnati Reds and last but not least The Ohio State University Buckeyes.
